Today, Joe and I met Pepah and TL in LA for brunch at Bottega Louie. The restaurant's ambiance was very nice and the service was great. Fullerton, CA
Our search for a vegan/vegetarian restaurant brought us to the beautiful city of Fullerton, yesterday. We ate at Rutabegorz, strolled for a few blocks after lunch, window shopped, and my favorite part - had Thrifty's Rocky Road ice cream before heading home! Mexican Caesar Salad - Joe liked this salad a lot! The Enchiladas were so-so. A not so healthy treat ;) on our way home. We are almost home... What ... View the Post
Chris Isaak at the Hollywood Bowl
Yesterday, we saw Chris Isaak perform at the Hollywood Bowl. Thanks to Acura, we scored two free tickets (plus parking) to see one of our fave artist in concert. It pays to drive an Acura! I got these freebies by responding to an invite to test drive a 2014 Acura car. Chris Isaak's opening act - Chris Botti did a great performance! To see him perform my fave song 'Wicked Game' was simply amazing! Another great performance by ... View the Post
Brunch @ mar ‘ sel
We picked a beautiful Sunday to relax and enjoy Rancho Palos Verdes in L.A.! My sister has been raving about Terranea Resort for so long… it was time to have brunch at the resort's restaurant with Joe. We enjoyed the view and sea breeze while sipping on our Portuguese Bend Sunrise and Bloody Mary cocktails. Joe’s Blueberry Riccotta Pancakes were delicious! And I had dessert, I meant french toasts. They were a little too sweet for my taste, but still ... View the Post
Planes of Fame Air Museum

Northrop N9MB Flying Wing - one of 4 prototypes and the only surviving one. Boeing P-26A Peashooter - the only flyable original P-26 in the world. And guess who was granted special access to the P-26 ;) Curtiss P-40N Warhawk aka the aircraft of the Flying Tigers (AVG- American ... View the Post
The Mission @ SJC
It’s another beautiful day in California! And it's a good time to visit the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. It’s long overdue, I can’t even remember the last time I was here. This Spanish Mission was founded on All Saints’ Day in 1776. And is best known for the annual “return of the swallows” which takes place around the third week of March. I hope we have the chance to come back here around that time. Inside the Fr. Serra Chapel -- this Baroque Retablo from Barcelona, ... View the Post
