Wow, time sure flies! It's been 5 busy months since we were in Italy and I'm just posting our 2nd day in Florence. Here's a review of our final day in the capital of Tuscany. Since this was our third time in Florence, the plan was to visit most of the sights we missed the last time and go back to some of our fave spots. Day 1 – Florence
We celebrated our anniversary in Florence, four months ago. Our comfortable train ride from Venice to Florence took approximately 2 hours. After settling in our hotel, we were ready to explore the city of Michelangelo. Oh Florence, we are so glad to be back after 2 years! Our first stop - was the Duomo. Boy, was it crowded! Our Visit to Florence
Oh, the beautiful city of Renaissance! We enjoyed our visit in Florence so much we ended up visiting 2 more times during our stay in Tuscany! Joe and I marveled at the highly adorned architecture of the Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo) and its beautiful interior, admired Giorgio Vasari's Last Judgment fresco on the interior of the cathedral's dome, and enjoyed the spectacular views of Florence after climbing up Brunelleschi's Dome.
