Wow, time sure flies! It's been 5 busy months since we were in Italy and I'm just posting our 2nd day in Florence. Here's a review of our final day in the capital of Tuscany. Since this was our third time in Florence, the plan was to visit most of the sights we missed the last time and go back to some of our fave spots. We must have walked at least 10 miles that day but it was so worth it! I had a few ;) gelati and panini and wasn't worried about calories. Here are pics of the sites we ... View the Post
Day 1 – Florence
We celebrated our anniversary in Florence, four months ago. Our comfortable train ride from Venice to Florence took approximately 2 hours. After settling in our hotel, we were ready to explore the city of Michelangelo. Oh Florence, we are so glad to be back after 2 years! Our first stop - was the Duomo. Boy, was it crowded! The line to go inside the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore was so long, it looped around the back of the church. So, we decided to skip it. It was a ... View the Post
A Fun-filled Second Day In Venice
Our second and last day in Venice was filled with fun activities. Just a little warning, this is a post with plenty of photos. I hope it would give you a feel of this beautiful city. We were at St. Mark's Square by 0830 and had more than an hour before St. Mark's Basilica opened. We took this opportunity to take a few photos and enjoy the view while the place was deserted. It was great to have the place almost to ourselves! We were one of the first in line to go inside ... View the Post
Our First Day in Venice
Over two months ago, we celebrated our anniversary in Italy, one of our fave European country. The cities we visited on this trip are Venice, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento. I spent a lot of time planning this trip and it paid off. We had an awesome time! It was an almost stress-free vacation. We barely made it to our flight back home (from Paris to LAX) because CDG airport was a little disorganized that day. We made it in one piece though, so we are very grateful :) Today, I'm sharing ... The Eiffel Tower of Paris
No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to and a few photos of the Eiffel Tower. This iconic structure was originally intended as a temporary exhibit until its value as a radiotelegraph station was recognized. I can't picture Paris without the Eiffel Tower! So glad plans for its demolition were never carried out! Passez une bonne journée! Have a great day! ♥ Emms ... View the Post
Versailles Palace and Gardens
The Royal Chapel The Hall of Mirrors Hall of Battles We went to Versailles and explored Louis XIV's palace and gardens. So much history! This place was once "the center of political power in France from 1682 to 1789." And it's still as grand as I remember it. The last time I visited was about a decade ago with my sister. Joe and I enjoyed our visit, especially the gardens, and were already thinking of coming back the next time ... View the Post
