This travel post is long overdue! Our trip to Sorrento was one of the highlights and the final segment of our trip to Italy in May 2015. Although we've been to Italy a few times, this was our first visit to the Southern part of Italy. We were so ready to explore Sorrento and its neighboring towns! Our itinerary: Sorrento → Amalfi Coast → Capri I spent a lot of time planning and reading travel tips and reviews for this trip. Although Positano would have been a quaint and lovely place ... Roma MMXV – Day 2
Our final day in Rome started with a visit to the Vatican City - the world's smallest country. There are three main sites to see in the Vatican: St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel, and Vatican Museum. And they are all worth a visit and someday we will visit the museum. We only explored St. Peter's Basilica on this trip. Even though we've visited this place a few times in the last couple of years, we are still in awe of its enormous size and opulence of its interior. Too breathtaking for ... View the Post
Rome MMXV – Day 1
Hi there, I finally got the chance to post our first day in Rome. Joe and I looked forward to the third segment of our Italian trip - the city of the great empire. This is another one of my fave European city. The train ride from Florence to Rome took about 1 and ½ hours and by the time we arrived and settled in our hotel it was almost noon. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we were ready to explore the sights of Rome. We pretty much retraced our steps to the places we've visited two ... View the Post
Day – 2 in Florence
Wow, time sure flies! It's been 5 busy months since we were in Italy and I'm just posting our 2nd day in Florence. Here's a review of our final day in the capital of Tuscany. Since this was our third time in Florence, the plan was to visit most of the sights we missed the last time and go back to some of our fave spots. We must have walked at least 10 miles that day but it was so worth it! I had a few ;) gelati and panini and wasn't worried about calories. Here are pics of the sites we ... View the Post
Day 1 – Florence
We celebrated our anniversary in Florence, four months ago. Our comfortable train ride from Venice to Florence took approximately 2 hours. After settling in our hotel, we were ready to explore the city of Michelangelo. Oh Florence, we are so glad to be back after 2 years! Our first stop - was the Duomo. Boy, was it crowded! The line to go inside the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore was so long, it looped around the back of the church. So, we decided to skip it. It was a ... View the Post
Summer Getaway in Las Vegas
Where do you go to beat the Summer heat in Cali? We go to Las Vegas where the temperature is hotter! We love spending a few days in Sin City. We stay indoors at daytime and go out at night when the weather cools down a bit. There are lots of shops, great restaurants, and things to do other than gambling at the WYNN... just a few reasons why we love staying at this hotel. Here are a few photos of our getaway, taken about 4 weeks ago. The view from ... View the Post
