We had a busy and memorable second day in Paris. We enjoyed a half day tour of Giverny in the morning. In the afternoon, we strolled around, relaxed, and enjoyed the Tuileries Garden. On our way back to our hotel, we had sandwiches at a Champs Elysées cafe for a late lunch and still had time to rest for a few hours before going on our next tours.
We enjoyed a 1-hour narrated Seine River cruise while sitting back and admiring the Eiffel Tower, Il de la Cité, Notre Dame, and the Conciergerie.
After our Seine River Cruise, we went on an escorted coach ride for a nighttime city tour. We were driven around the Champs-Elysées, l’Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Les Invalides, Place de la Concorde, the Grand Palais, and Rue de Rivoli to name a few sites. At this point, my camera’s batteries ran low 🙁 The upside – I was able to enjoy and admire Paris’ beautifully illuminated historical sites and neighborhoods without any distractions!
Our highlight of the evening – we watched Paris transform into the City of Lights! And the lighted Eiffel Tower was simply magnificent!
